  15. Ok I know I've missed something obvious, but I can't spot it.

  17. I've built tex on a DEC alpha and ona sun4, both work, but neither can
  18. read format files dumped by the other.  I get told:

  20. (Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)

  22. when they try.  I thought that the .base and .fmt files were relatively
  23. portable unless I defined NO_FMTBASE_SWAP which I don't.  Is there something
  24. else I've missed or are my builds totally weird?
